We see ourselves as social entrepreneurs in two ways:
Catalyzing social innovation
Because we work with clients who share our mission, almost every project has some “better futures” component, large or small. This could be at the strategic level, a new business model, policy framework, initiative, product or service, training program, partnership, collaboration, or pilot project. Curiously, this better future dimension almost always happens - whether it's the intention or not. One hypothesis explaining this: a future orientation shows why it’s in everyone’s interests (and everyone’s responsibility) to make sure longer-term issues and problems are addressed.
Tools for better foresight
While our tools and methods have been around for decades, our tradecraft is constantly evolving and improving as we learn more about what works in the world. So we see ourselves as innovators in a larger collective effort to create better tools and practices for adaptability and foresight during this moment of transition and deep change.
